For the Garlic Bread:
1 loaf Italian bread
½ cup unsalted butter, softened
1 tsp garlic salt
For the Sloppy Joe Filling:
1 lb ground beef
¼ cup yellow onion, finely chopped
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp yellow mustard
¾ cup ketchup
½ tsp kosher salt
¼ tsp black pepper
½ cup water
For the Topping:
1 cup shredded mozzarella
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
Fresh parsley, chopped
Make the Garlic Bread: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice bread in half, spread with garlic butter (mix butter + garlic salt), and set aside.
Cook the Filling: Brown beef and onions, drain. Add garlic powder, mustard, ketchup, salt, pepper, and water. Simmer until thick and saucy.
Assemble: Spread the Sloppy Joe mix over the garlic bread halves. Top with shredded cheeses.
Bake & Serve: Bake for 12-14 mins until cheese is bubbly and golden. Garnish with parsley, slice, and enjoy!
