2 lb. cube steak about 4 pieces
2 tsp. kosher salt
1 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 large yellow onion sliced into 1/4" rings
1 2-oz. packet onion soup mix
1 c. low-sodium beef broth
1/4 c. cold water
2 tbsp. cornstarch
Buttered egg noodles for serving
Season steaks with salt and pepper. Add to slow cooker along with garlic powder, onion, onion soup mix, and beef broth.
Set slow cooker to low for 8 hours.
1 hour before you’re ready to serve, mix cold water and cornstarch in a small bowl and stir into slow cooker. Cook on high until gravy has thickened, stirring periodically.
Serve over buttered egg noodles, and garnish with more pepper
